"Being part of the Fellowship program has been a life-changing experience but maybe not in the way you might think. I could tell you that being part of PSI has allowed me to help the NGO with my different skills sets. I could also tell you how I have learned different skills by being here for the past months. What has really changed my life, however, are the people that I have met on this incredible journey."

"As we worked with PSI in Uganda, this experience was a reminder for me to always ‘seek first to understand,’ to ask questions, to listen to others’ perspectives and stories before making an opinion or putting a recommendation together. We tend to jump right to conclusions and feel that we have the answers, but as we go below the surface, we find things we did not expect or reasons that we did not consider. I am thankful for the reminder."

"The commitment that I made at the beginning of my fellowship - to be an Ambassador for my company toward a better tomorrow - has become the reason I wake up every day."

"Daily conversations with my colleagues consist of how privileged we feel to work with Jhpiego in India. Its sole purpose is to prevent the needless deaths of women, children and families worldwide. Statistics show that India has the second highest rate of maternal deaths in the world. Our team was fortunate to have an opportunity to offer a sustainable business methodology for implementing a robust quality management system in private healthcare facilities throughout India."
Global Human Health - MSD in Germany
"Becoming a mother is one of the most beautiful moments in a woman’s life. It can immediately turn into the worst, if you don’t have access to appropriate maternity or neonatal care. It’s not destiny, but the quality of healthcare that determines if giving birth is the worst or most beautiful moment in a women’s life. I am grateful that the Fellowship program gave me the unique opportunity to contribute to these efforts with my skills and experiences."

"Jhpiego, in collaboration with the state, national governments and FOGSI, and with support from for Mothers, implemented a three-year innovative program aimed to increase access to high impact, evidence-based antenatal, intrapartum and immediate post-partum care to mothers by leveraging the private sector providers in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. During our field visits to Agra, we were amazed by the impact that the program has had on the quality standards of the facility. I believe there is a need for innovations to ensure quality healthcare standards on all fronts."
